How to Choose the Right Timber Frame Plan

Choosing the right timber frame plan begins with understanding where you are in your project.

Some customers are still exploring ideas. Others are comparing budgets, preparing for permits, or ready to begin construction. Because every project begins differently, Joint and Peg offers several plan options designed to provide the right information at the right time.

Whether you’re still evaluating an idea or preparing to order materials, this guide will help you choose the right timber frame plan for your project.

They provide an additional level of confidence through an independent structural review and are prepared and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer where available. Many jurisdictions require engineered drawings, while many customers choose them for the additional assurance they provide.

CNC Fabrication Models (Professional Builders)

For qualified projects, Joint and Peg offers collision-free CNC-ready 3D fabrication models developed directly from the construction drawings. These models are intended for professional fabrication and are licensed for project-specific use.
