Plenty of space with only four posts. This timber frame pavilion could be added to the back of a house too. At a 5 in 12 roof slope this is a classically proportioned structure that would work well as a pool house or porch addition.
The king post trusses not only look good, but they are doing the work of holding the roof up. We have designed a lower roof slope on this than you would normally see to create better a scale that doesn’t seem to tall or out of place in a back yard for a pool house or even as a carport. You wouldn’t want this ridge height to compete with the main architecture on the property. Outfit this structure as you see fit. An outdoor kitchen and lounging area would make a nice outdoor leisure area.

Perfect Plan for Pool/Patio Cover
This was the first plans I could find with a clear span allowing a clear view and open walk-in to our pool. Most plans this size are usually with 6 posts.
